Travel Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival & Welcome Dinner

Arrival: Welcome to Oulu! A private bus will be waiting for your group at Oulu Airport. We will drive you directly to your hotel in the city center to check in and freshen up.

Dinner: The first evening starts with a special welcome dinner at Sokeri Jussin Kievari. This charming restaurant is located in an old timber storehouse in idyllic Pikisaari island. You will taste traditional Finnish food in a warm, cozy atmosphere.

Day 2: Polar Bears at Ranua Zoo

The Adventure: Today we take a private bus for a full day trip to Ranua Wildlife Park (approx. 7-8 hours). Ranua is a unique place where you can see Arctic animals in their natural forest environment.

The Animals: Wooden walkways lead through a forest setting where northern wildlife can be seen up close. The rare chance to see Finland’s only polar bears is a highlight, alongside brown bears, wolves, lynx, and majestic moose.

Lunch: Enjoy a delicious buffet lunch before we drive back to Oulu.

Day 3: Hailuoto Island & Fine Dining

Island Trip: After breakfast, we head to Hailuoto Island (approx. 6 hours). This island is known for its nature and its well-preserved old fishing village. We will take a ferry across the sea to get there. You will see the famous lighthouse at Marjaniemi bay and walk on the beautiful sandy dunes.

Dinner: In the evening, we have reserved a special dinner for you at Restaurant Uleåborg 1881. This restaurant is known for its high-quality food and use of the best local ingredients. It is a true culinary experience.

Day 4: Oulu2026 City Tour

Culture Tour: Today you will learn why Oulu was chosen as the European Capital of Culture 2026. A local guide will take you on a 4-hour tour of the city.

Highlights: You will see the most important sights, visit the market square, and see some of the new cultural projects in the city. The afternoon is free to explore the city at your own pace.

Day 5: Reindeer & Manor House Dinner

Reindeer Visit: No trip to the north is complete without reindeer. We will visit a local reindeer farm where you can meet these gentle animals. You will get to feed them and learn about the life of a reindeer herder.

Farewell Dinner: For your last night, we go to Maikkulan Kartano. Set beside the river, this historic manor house creates a warm atmosphere for a festive farewell dinner.

Day 6: Departure

Goodbye Oulu: Enjoy breakfast at the hotel.

Transfer: Your private bus will pick you up and take the group to Oulu Airport in time for your flight home.
